How does a Emergency Response System work?

The Personal Emergency Response System includes an emergency response unit, your choice of pendant, and communication with our 24-hour monitoring service.  When the pendant is pressed, the Response unit receives the signal and notifies our monitoring center. On average, within 20 seconds a skilled Emergency Response operator will use the Response unit’s speaker to communicate with the client to assess their needs.  At this point, help will be called in the form of customized responders, fire, police, or EMS. The Emergency Response operator will have personalized information about the client and relay information to the EMS if the client is unable to communicate for themselves.
